This morning, I decided to put my phone on flight mode, get on my bike and head out of the city. I’m excited to feel the sun on my face as I twisted and turn along fir-tree lined paths to get lunch at one of our properties (Burig Bolthole, who serve vegan German food).
It feels so refreshing to take these spontaneous decisions. Here’s to more last-minute adventures; let me know what you get up to this weekend, I’d love to know.

New to The Staycation Collection: a harbour-side apartment in Wismar
Talk about a room with a view!
New on The Staycation Collection: Ohlerich Harbour Apartment, a modern, loft-style apartment at the water’s edge in Wismar.
Owners Kerstin and Andreas fell in love with the city after a trip in 2014:
“We used to walk around the warehouse district a lot, so when an apartment became available in the old grain storage, we knew we had to take it!”

Take a spontaneous trip to the Müritz this weekend
The weather this weekened (yes, we're talking about the weather again...) is meant to be beautiful! So how about a spontaneous trip to Germany's largest lake, the Müritz?
You can get there in just over an hour from Berlin, but it feels like a million miles away! Here are a few of our favourite things to do and places to eat.
Places to stay in June and July.
